At Velvet Ridge, we believe that children are not just the future of the church — they are an important part of the body of Christ right now. We’re thrilled to welcome your little ones to our children’s ministry, where they’ll be cared for, inspired, and taught the love of Jesus! Ridge Kids is a ministry designed for kids to engage with God’s Word in a way that’s fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate. Each Sunday, your child will be introduced to powerful Bible stories that teach about God’s love, His promises, and how we can follow Jesus. We have two separate children’s churches during our Sunday Morning service: one for children ages 4-6, and the other for children ages 7-12, as well as a nursery class for 0-3. We can’t wait for you and your family to join us this Sunday! Bring your little ones to Ridge Kids, where they’ll experience God’s love, make new friends, and grow in their faith!

Ignite Jr. Youth Ministries is a place where your preteen can grow spiritually, build meaningful friendships, and discover their God-given purpose. Our mission is to ignite the fire of God’s love in their hearts, help them recognize and stir up their spiritual gifts, and inspire them to live with a passion for God, His Word, and His Church.

We understand how important these formative years are, and we’re here to partner with you in nurturing your child’s faith. Each Wednesday, we gather for an evening of engaging Bible studies, fun group activities, and opportunities to serve, all in a safe and welcoming environment.

Ignite is more than a junior youth group—it’s a chance for your child to develop into the young men and women God has called them to be. Together, we’re kindling the fire and fanning the flame for a lifetime of faith.

At Kadesh, we want your teen to feel at home in God’s presence. Our goal is to create a space where they can experience God’s love, grow in their faith, and connect with others. We believe every teen has the opportunity to experience a true encounter with God through worship, teaching, and building personal connections.

Wednesday nights are a time for fun, friendship, and faith. Teens come together to hang out, play games, and then worship and listen to a message that’s meaningful to their lives. It’s a place where they can be themselves and grow spiritually in a supportive community.

We also encourage teens to explore their talents through music, drama, or sign language and use those gifts to serve God. At Kadesh, your teen will find a place to belong, grow, and be encouraged on their journey with Christ.

These groups are a great way to connect with others, grow in your faith, and find support in a welcoming, relaxed setting. Each Sunday, we meet before the service to dive into God’s Word, share life, and encourage one another. We have classes for all ages! Whether you’re new or have been with us for years, we’d love for you and your family to be part of this opportunity to grow closer to God and each other.

Our church is passionately involved in the ministry of foreign missions, with a heart to spread the love of Christ around the world. We believe that God has called us to reach beyond our local community, and we are dedicated to supporting missionaries, providing humanitarian aid, and sharing the gospel in various countries.

While our primary focus is on Uganda, we are also involved in missions worldwide, partnering with the Church of God World Missions and individuals who are making a difference in places where hope and the message of Christ are needed most. We believe in the power of prayer, giving, and hands-on involvement through mission trips, and we encourage everyone to be a part of this global outreach.

Together, we can make a lasting impact, not just in Uganda, but in communities across the globe, as we work to bring the light of Christ to those who need it most.

The Widows Group is a place where women can find friendship, encouragement, and support. This group offers a warm, welcoming environment for widows to connect, share experiences, and grow together. Through regular meetings and outings, deep and lasting friendships are formed, providing a strong community where women can lean on each other and find strength.

The Hospitality Group is a dedicated team that serves with joy during major events at the church, such as camp meetings and ladies’ retreats. This group is all about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attends, offering food, drinks, and support to make each event special. Whether it’s setting up, serving, or ensuring guests feel at home, the Hospitality Group plays a vital role in making our events run smoothly and creating a spirit of community.
